Wow can it be that Christmas has come and gone oh so quickly? I hope you enjoyed spending time with those who matter to you the most and that you kept the real meaning of Christmas the central focus of all you did.
We had a wonderful Christmas day and really enjoyed the fun of turning gift cards given, into a complete guessing game, filled with clues and laughter. Brunch unfolded with my father arriving on time, which is close to a miracle if you know my beloved father. The menu this year had some old favorites as well as two new recipes, both were a huge hit. The new entries are; Sausage Leek Casserole from the Food Network and a Nectarine Shortcake from Martha Stewart. Both were wonderfully delicious and they will be requested repeats next year. Also, there is one more recipe that I must share with you – Cidar Glazed Turkey Sausage from Martha Stewart. This recipe has apple cidar, sausage and only takes about 10 minutes of cooking. It is amazing, you really must give it a try.
Many hugs and thank yous go to my Mom, Dad, and brother, because of their generosity, I was able to purchase one of my kitchen dreams – a Cuisinart Die Cast Metal, 12 cup food processor from Williams Sonoma. I have looked at this particular machine for over a year and I am truly blessed to now be able to add it to my cooking arsenal as I begin to explore the recipes made famous in Indian cooking.
In closing let me hear from you and how you are doing as the new year so quickly approaches.
